Same canister as a current Colorplus 200 emulsion, but way older emulsion. Found in a “thrift market” camera. Expired and shot an undefined time period ago – likely the 90s. Keeping conditions most likely hellish.

To add insult to injury, battery acid had leaked into it – emulsion seems to have been badly hit, and the canister was also corroded. I gave it a 2 hour presoak, to try and get as much leftover acid out. As developer is a base, it DEFINITELY wouldn’t have enjoyed it’s pH lowered by the acid salts (or whatever) were left in there. Battery acid scars below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"766\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/tomcat.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/IMG_20240621_092913-766x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-210\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tomcat.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/IMG_20240621_092913-766x1024.jpg 766w, https:\/\/tomcat.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/IMG_20240621_092913-224x300.jpg 224w, https:\/\/tomcat.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/IMG_20240621_092913-768x1027.jpg 768w, https:\/\/tomcat.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/IMG_20240621_092913-1149x1536.jpg 1149w, https:\/\/tomcat.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/IMG_20240621_092913-1532x2048.jpg 1532w, https:\/\/tomcat.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/IMG_20240621_092913-scaled.jpg 1915w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 766px) 100vw, 766px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
Even so, either due to the remaining chemical contamination and\/or age\/keeping conditions, film seems to have been BADLY underdeveloped and color-twisted.
